ABOUT THE PERFORMERS Laura Mae Socks writes songs that reflect the sparse landscape of the rural prairie in Southwest Louisiana where she and Jon Bertrand (of the Pine Leaf Boys) call home. Often described as haunting due to her lilting vocal style and Jon's reverb-soaked Telecaster, they play songs reminiscent of a bygone era of country music.
The Falconers are an uplifting, heavy hitting indie-rock group from Binghamton, New York, led by front duo Jimmyjohn McCabe (acoustic guitar and vocals, formerly of Yolk) and Bess Greenberg (upright bass and vocals, formerly of Milkweed). The Falconers were born out of textured harmonies, a driving rhythm and passionate swells that unearth resilience. Tightly crafted, with influences that range from Joni Mitchell and the Indigo Girls to the Foo Fighters and Pixies, their music provokes and inspires the spirit. Joined by Andy Thomas on drums (Zydeco Po' Boys), The Falconers will lift your soul, move your feet and remind us that we are all survivors.
