"Ragged Glory" Band Benefit for Healing the Children
Healing the Children presents an evening of lively music with "Ragged Glory" on Thursday, October 29, 2009, at the Columbia City Theater, 4916 Rainer Avenue S., Seattle, WA.
Doors open at 7:00 PM -- Music from 8:00 PM to 9:45 PM -- No host bar -- 21 years old and older only -- $30 donation per ticket --
All proceeds will benefit Healing the Children, Oregon and Western Washington Chapter, an organization whose mission is to restore health to impoverished children of the world through donated medical services. Healing the Children is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides medical treatment for children in their homeland by volunteer medical teams. The organization also arranges for other children to be flown to the United States for donated specialized care. Locally, Healing the Children assists children who lack health insurance or need donations of medications or medical supplies.

Ragged Glory plays a wide variety of rock and blues, by artists such as Bonnie Raitt and Little Feat, with an emphasis on Neil Young's great music. The band members are generously donating their evening of music to this charity event, and include Dave Grixoni (band leader, vocals, guitar), Doug Honeyman (vocals, bass guitar), Melanie Rice (vocals), Don Glenn (trombone), Bob Vogt (lead guitar), Randy Knowles (vocals, lead guitar, pedal steel, harmonica), and Rick Rice (drums).
