Singer, pianist and songwriter, Robyn McCorquodale performs live in Vancouver at the Orpheum Annex in "Diary of a Piano Girl" ~ a Multi-Media Presentation Featuring Songs, Stories and Seven Continents!
Celebrating her upcoming SUMMER CD Release of self-penned songs, "Sleep With Angels," the versatile and seasoned performer will showcase her new album, some of her other originals and arrangements of her favourite jazz and pop standards.
Robyn's own songs fuse elements of jazz, pop, blues and country. Her classical roots further blends a contemporary pop style that is uniquely Robyn. Her lyrics celebrate the mystery and joy of life and love, while acknowledging the fears and challenges that can ultimately lead us to achieve our dreams and realize our great potential. She draws from a wealth of personal experiences and conversations she's had traveling as a solo performer around the world.
With a career that began singing for one of the richest men in the world in Southeast Asia, Robyn's other adventures include going behind the veil in Iran, landing on magnificent ice glaciers in pristine Antarctica, walking through the cradle of civilization in Egypt, exploring exquisite beauty in the remote Marquesas, and so much more spanning seven continents. She expresses her insights about life in musical poetry and beautiful imagery sharing her entertaining and inspiring journey.
