beth Sorrentino Record Release Party @ Commonwealth On Queen
"Would You Like To Go" Record Release Party
To musician and Lancaster native Beth Sorrentino, the 300 block of N. Queen St. is memory lane: in the late 1980s and early '90s, she worked part-time at BBC Records where she saw LPs and cassettes morph into CDs, and frequented such shops as Zap & Co., DMZ, and everything in between.
Beth's band Suddenly, Tammy!, along with brother Jay and friend Ken Heitmueller, was signed by a major label. Beth eventually moved to NYC, finally getting that masters degree and teaching music to little kids in every borough of Manhattan. After 20 years away, she has returned to her roots, and has a new album set for release on June 10. Would You Like To Go (produced by Sean Slade), is a tribute to the late sunshine pop icon Curt Boettcher. The release party features giveaways and an exclusive show in Lancaster, where Beth will perform a mix of Curt, Tammy, and solo songs.
