Bill Murray Is Feeling Awfully Gloomy
You might think the Brothers Gloom, while extremely literate in the fields of anglocentric sad bastard music, might not be cineastes, but you'd be wrong. We've spent loads of time watching films, mostly sad ones, or ones with particularly sad bits (which are our favorites). That is how we came to be great admirers of Bill Murray.

Bill Murray stands alone among his peers, portraying some of favorite miserable characters of all time. The suicidal weatherman of Groundhog Day, the suicidal industrialist of Rushmore, the washed up actor / master karaoke of Lost in Translation, the cuckolded psychiatrist in the Royal Tenenbaums. Not only has Mr Murray performed some of the greatest gloomy acting of our generation, but his movies are jam-packed with great music, and he's known far and wide for his own abilities as a lounge singer, karaoke singer, and bon vivant.

So we're going to pay tribute to Bill Murray with songs from his movies. We'll have a singalong to Roxy Music's "More Than This," which he sings in Lost in Translation. We encourage you to dress up as Mr Murray from any of his many movies, and we'll give a prize to the best costume. We'll project some of his movies, drink lots of scotch (it will be Suntory time for approximately 5 hours that night), pose for pictures with Fake Bill Murray, tick off items on our bucket lists, and most importantly, dance like mad to the tearful melodies of our favorite songs from his movies.
