On Friday, May 1st, 2009, The Flesh Hungry Dog Show presents Welcome The Stranger, as three out of town bands converge on the FHD Stage. At last Februarys FHD Show, The Nice Device (Detroit), thrilled the audience with their brand of 80s inspired, yet contemporary power-pop and by audience request, return for the May 1st show, along with Milwaukees Big Fun 4ever, and Charles S. McVey (Lawrence, KS). Chicago rock impresario Gary Airedale hosts. The show will also feature Bag of Fun prize giveaways from The Pleasure Chest, rare and vintage film, special guest performers from Girlie-Q Burlesque, and DJ Sky.
The Flesh Hungry Dog Show starts at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1st, 2009 at Jackhammer (773-743-5772), 6406 N. Clark St. in Chicago. Jackhammer is a 21+ venue. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door, or online at www.fleshhungrydog.com.
The mission of The Flesh Hungry Dog Show is to bring live rock and related musical forms to Chicago's gay community, and to provide a fun, alternative venue for bands with GLBT content and members, and bands that are GLBT supportive.
