Lisa Fay Coutley is the author of HOST (Wisconsin Poetry Series, 2024), tether (Black Lawrence Press, 2020), Errata (2015), winner of the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry Open Competition, In the Carnival of Breathing (2011), winner of the Black River Chapbook Competition, and Small Girl: Micromemoirs (Harbor Editions, 2024), and editor of In the Tempered Dark (BLP, 2023). Her writing received an NEA Fellowship, an Academy of American Poets Levis Prize, and the Gulf Coast Poetry Prize, and has appeared recently on Poem-a-Day, The Slowdown, and Massachusetts Review. She teaches in the Writers Workshop at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
Diane Seuss is the author of six books of poetry, including Modern Poetry (Graywolf Press 2024) and frank: sonnets (Graywolf Press 2021), the winner of the PEN/Voelcker Prize, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Pulitzer Prize. Seuss was a 2020 Guggenheim Fellow. She was recently elected to the Academy of American Poets Board of Chancellors. Seuss was raised by a single mother in rural Michigan, which she continues to call home.
