Girls on Grass at Chilton House
Girls on Grass plays their first show at venerated Chilton House. The alt-country-punk rockers, hailing from Brooklyn, NY has released a 7" and two full-length studio albums and is mixing songs for their next release, coming in summer 2024. Singer-songwriter-guitarist Barbara Endes, originally from Milwaukee, Wisc., started out with drummer Nancy Polstein (veteran of Cheri Knight's band) and they added WFMU DJ Dave Mandl on bass and Sean Eden (Luna) to record the first GoG LP with Jay Sherman-Godfrey (Laura Cantrell, World Famous Blue Jays). The band recorded their second album with Eric "Roscoe" Ambel. Now a trio, they have shared stages with the Sadies, Waco Brothers, Vandoliers, Model Citizen (AL), Lonesome Bob, Amy Rigby, Laura Cantrell, Sarah Borges & Eric Ambel, Jesse Malin, and Mekons.
Chilton House is BYOB. Doors open at 6 p.m. Show starts at 7 p.m.
