Larry McCray wsg Out of Favor Boys
Larry McCray is a Michigan blues guitar slinger who has captivated audiences for the last three decades with near-constant touring and recording. He has shared the stage with quite a number of blues greats, such as: BB King, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, John Mayall, Keb Mo, Joe Bonamassa, Albert King, Johnny Winter, Jimmie Vaughan, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, as well as rock greats Allman Brothers, Dickey Betts, Jonny Lang, Joe Walsh, Levon Helm, Phil Lesh, and Chris Robinson.
Born in Magnolia, Arkansas in 1960, his early years were spent on a farm, the second youngest of nine siblings. His older sister Clara introduced him to the three Kings of the blues, and by the late 80s, he had attracted the attention of Virgin Records executive John Wooler, who signed Larry as his first artist to his new subsidiary label Point Blank Records.
Larry helped define blues rock throughout the 90s, by collaborating with such artists as his label mate Albert Collins. His latest release was 2021's "Blues Without You", a 12-track album recorded on the famous Joe Bonamassa's nonprofit label Keeping the Blues Alive.
