The American Planning Assocation Inland Empire Section Annual Conference
The theme this year is: Getting What You've Earned: Making Sure Your Plan is a Good Business Decision for Your Community. More than ever, responsible planning requires an understanding of a plan's financial consequences, both for property owners and the community as a whole. Before a project is a good fit for a community, both the developer and the community has to be better off. The 2013 Inland Empire Section conference will bring a full program to equip you with the tools you need to make sure a your plans make good business sense for the whole community. Speakers will help you understand how to estimate the cost of providing the services and infrastructure your community needs. Speakers will help you estimate the financial return for different types of land use in your plan. Speakers will provide insight into how developers and investors make investment decisions when working in your community.
