Music from the Drawing Room:
Inspired by the Schubertiade, a social gathering of friends and artists dancing and singing with Schubert at the piano, pianist Chung-Hsi Hsieh selects a recital program featuring waltzes and songs including Ravel's Valses nobles et sentimentales, Yanzhong Li's Theme and Variations based on a Chinese folk song from Kangding of the Sichuan Province, two waltzes by Michael Kosch, Chopin's Barcarolle, and Schubert's G major piano sonata.
