PEX Costa Rica 2023
MARCH 6th-12th in COSTA RICA
You are invited to Join the International PEX Phamily in beautiful Costa Rica this March 6th-12th.
As you may know, we gathered for almost 10 years in Costa Rica in Montezuma and we always had an incredible time.
This year, the event will be centered in the Southern Pacific Zone near Uvita and Ojochal. This is just a few minutes from where the Envision Festival is being held the week prior. (2/28-3/6)
During the week, we will be organizing Multiple DJ nights, daytime pool parties, barbecue, daily yoga classes, a sound healing journey, and beach and waterfall excursions. We will also provide information for friends interested in snorkeling or scuba diving, deep sea fishing, massages and other local options.
This is an opportunity for you to hang out with an intimate PEX crew in paradise.

Is this a Festival?
PEX Costa Rica is not a festival. This is a series of intimate events over the week at various venues and natural locations in and near Ojochal and Uvita Costa Rica.
The wristband includes all DJ events, Daily yoga classes, ceremonies and a beachside barbecue dinner at Villa Leonor. (More info will be released as we confirm other venues and details) WRISTBAND DOES NOT INCLUDE LODGING OR SHUTTLES TO/FROM SAN JOSE.
All of the yoga classes, sunset ceremony one DJ night and one daytime pool party will be at La Cusinga Rainforest Lodge. We will also have free shuttles arranged from La Cusinga to off site events.

La Cusinga, is nestled on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The hotel compound features a beautiful yoga deck, pool, bar/restaurant and private access to a special beach called Playa Arco, and private access to a river swimming spot.
ROOMS ARE SOLD OUT AT LA CUSINGA
If you still need accommodations we recommend finding hotels on Hotels.com and Airbnb. Just search Ojochal or Uvita on sites for accommodations.
You want to be in the Uvita or Ojochal areas and you will most likely want to rent a car.
BOOK YOUR LODGING AND RESERVE A CAR RENTAL IF YOU WANT ONE NOW. March is a busy time of year and all lodging and car rentals rent out quickly. Now is the time to book them.
FLIGHTS
You will be looking for flights to San Jose, Costa Rica. (SJO) The airport is officially called the "Juan Santamaría International Airport."
LOCATION
The event will be centered in the Southern Pacific Zone near Uvita and Ojochal. This area is a 3.5 hour drive from SJO. So you will want to take a shuttle, rent a car or take a puddle jumper flight. Renting a car with a group of friends is a great idea. Or take the Shuttle and rent a car in Uvita. (easiest)
SHUTTLES
We will have two shuttles from SJO to Uvita on 3/6 and two returning on 3/12. $45 PP each way.
3/6 3:30pm for flights arriving before 1
3/6 5:30pm for flights arriving after 1
3/12 6:00am for flights leaving after 12pm
3/12 10:00am for flights leaving after 5pm on 3/12 or on 3/13 (there is beach traffic on Sundays)
Please give yourself 6 hours from shuttle departure time to flight departure time.
CAR RENTALS
Search on Expedia, Travelocity or other travel sites for car rentals. DO NOT BUY THE ADDED INSURANCE THAT these sites offer you. They will not honor that at the desk. Regardless of the low advertised price for cars expect to pay $50-$75 a day per car after insurance. They "figure it out" at the desk. (it is a scam and we are sorry)

PUDDLE JUMPER FLIGHT
The fastest option is to take a second puddle jumper flight from SJO to XQP (Quepos) About $100pp each way. Quepos is one hour north on the coast from Uvita/Ojochal. If you need a taxi from there, they average $80. We recommend Carlos at WhatsApp 506 8501 0497.
