Try-outs for the Pennsylvania All-Stars:
The Pennsylvania All-Stars is an elite roller derby team that represents Pennsylvania's finest players from all over the state. The team is comprised of skaters from a minimum of 5 different leagues throughout Pennsylvania.
While players are chosen based on skill and their ability to be a team player, we also strive to maintain balanced representation.
Our mission is to have a team of strong women whose characteristics are those of leaders in their leagues, skaters who encompass the attributes of a high-level teammate, and those willing to be challenged.
As a team member of the Pennsylvania All-Stars, you will be surrounded by a community that lives the spirit of "Any Time, Any Where, Any Rules." We continue to challenge ourselves by playing multiple rules sets, high-level competitors, and competing on both flat and banked tracks.
We hold try-outs once a year via a scrimmage setting. To be considered for the team, you must be registered. Registration closes January 31, 2014.
Try-Outs:
-Open to any woman, 18 years of age or older, who is active on a Pennsylvania-based roller derby team -IMPORTANT: Any skater who is a potential danger to other skaters due to their lack of skill will be immediately asked to leave the track and they will not receive a refund. Although skaters must have passed the WFTDA minimum skills test as a baseline, only skaters who have advanced skills should try out for this team.
