Doors open 1/2  hour before showtime.

The event will be held at R. Pela Contemporary Art, where you can also view Paul Wilson's multi-media exhibit, "I Am Not Myself".

Wilson's humor-based art celebrates the mundane (as with his series of paintings and drawings of vintage toasters) and the bizarre (like his collection of imaginary out-of-this-world dollar-store toys). Fans of his early, Hollywood-movie-inspired work will be pleased to see long-lost homages to The Stepford Wives and Now, Voyager; those who recall Wilson's "Fifties Family" series of montages will be delighted with a recently uncovered series depicting Wilson's romantic "affair" with a line drawingRoger Radcliffe, the hero of Disney's 101 Dalmations.

As with Wilson's 2013 show at the Phoenix Art Museum, I Am Not Myself will feature all-new artwork depicting the artist's fascination with alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. This time out, Wilson's prosaic, black-and-white photographs depict Oswald's imaginary, toaster-obsessed childhood and teenaged years. In another new series, Wilson suggests that Oswald may have been present at various national disasters (like the sinking of the Titanic and the crash of the Hindenberg).
