Normal Ain't Normal is a new digital series that explores the struggles, absurdities, and surprising possibilities of working-class people as we slowly (eventually!) come out of the pandemic. Dramatic, captivating, and darkly comedic, the show follows four colorful characters in Oakland who offer a unique, intimate glimpse inside the U.S.'s growing fault lines of race, class, and extreme inequality. Based on true stories, Normal Aint Normal is a bold and irreverent challenging of what is "normal" -- and what should be normal -- in a healthy society.

Covid Protocols: All attendees must wear a mask inside the theater.
Entrance: Use the main Oak Street entrance (between 10th St and 11th St). No other museum entrances will be open.
Public Transportation: the Oakland Museum is one block from the Lake Merritt BART station and many AC Transit bus lines.
Parking: The Oakland Museum has a parking garage available for a special event flat rate of $10. Pay upon entry with a credit card only, beginning at 5:30pm. There is plenty of street parking and additional public garages in the neighborhood. (The ALCO parking structure, located at 12th and Jackson, charges $1.75/hour.)
Accessibility info: the Oakland Museum theater is accessible for wheelchairs.
