Resurgence
Music Mondays 208 Presents: Resurgence, an explosive collaboration of emo/punk, post-hardcore, metal & metalcore bands. Between current known members of the scene & returning ones, this show is guaranteed to bring out high-energy & a ton of fun.
Opening the show is A Residual Affinity (Boise, ID). These guys bring a modern taste to familiar sounds by combining emo & post-hardcore elements of the mid 2000's with modern breakdowns and beautifully-assembled melodies. Reflecting on the inner turmoil of youth and projecting intense emotions, all whilst sounding both wonderful and heavy at appropriate times, this band continues to evolve and put on insanely fun shows. (Punk/Emo/Post-Hardcore)
Our 2nd Slot this evening is Voice of Treason (Idaho Falls, ID). This band is a newcomer to Boise, but don't let the anonymity fool you. Voice of Treason has found a way to blend old-school metal riffs & vocals with modern core elements seamlessly. Within their sound you can find traces of Eddie Van Halen and other classic metal influences, all while getting slammed by adrenaline-packed breakdowns & modern riffs. These guys are not an act you want to miss. (Metal/Metalcore/Hard Rock)
Our 3rd slot goes to a surprise band that came out of the blue: Become the Apex (Boise, ID). Though they are brand new to Boise, they actually just played their first show in Idaho Falls. This band is compromised of ex members from other popular bands in the scene, as well as current. Become the Apex features the return of Kaos Morrison (Vox for Living in False Eyes) and the return of David Green (Formerly from Life Upon Liars) to the scene. These guys, paired Gabe Hodges (Drums for Immurge) and Patrick Richardson (Former member of multiple bands from the mid 2000's LA metal scene) have quite the reputation between them. Boise hasn't seen these guys yet, but reports from Idaho Falls claim that this band is pretty high-octane, and not one to be missed. (Metalcore)
Our Coheadliner is another familiar act: Faded Leroy. Faded Leroy finally makes their return to the Boise music scene to join their friends in putting on this spectacular show. For those who haven't seen them, they too bring spectacular melodic arrangements (both vocally and instrumentally) to the fold, as well as heavy riffage and explosive breakdowns. Faded Leroy has been on hiatus for some time, so expect these guys to go haywire on the stage. (Metalcore/Hardcore)
Finally, our headliner: Roses are Dead. If you live in Boise and you're a fan of metal, you most likely already know about Roses are Dead. These guys bring absolutely top-tier song composition together with gorgeous melodies, high-intensity riffs, and absolutely disgusting breakdowns. Hell, even if you don't know them or their music, the members of this band are friends to everybody in the scene. Roses are Dead has been playing for quite some time now, and they continue to gain traction (and rocket the top of our must-see list). If you haven't seen them already, you absolutely do not want to miss this band. (Metalcore)
