DEAR VALUED PATRONS
WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THAT "GAY DD GOES TO THE VALLEY" HAD TO BE CANCELED JUST FOUR HOURS BEFORE CURTAIN TIME ON SATURDAY EVENING JUNE 11. WE DID OUR BEST TO INFORM EVERYONE IN ADVANCE BUT IF OUR 3PM SATURDAY AFTERNOON EMAIL TEXT AND PHONE COMMUNICATIONS MISSED YOU, WE HOPE YOU WILL ACCEPT OUR APOLOGIES FOR THIS.
THE TICKETING AGENT HAS INFORMED US THAT PRESALE TICKET REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED WITHIN THE NEXT 7 TO 10 DAYS. YOUR PATIENCE IS APPRECIATED.
THE REASON WE HAD TO JETTISON THE SHOW MIGHT SEEM INSIGNIFICANT TO THE UNINFORMED BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE POISON PILL FOR THE PRODUCTION.
THE LA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES WHO RUNS OUR FREE PARKING LOT DURING BUSINESS HOURS SURREPTITIOUSLY CHANGED THE GATE LOCK ON FRIDAY EVENING, THE NIGHT BEFORE THE SHOW. THOUGH WE TRIED VERY HARD TO GET IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE WHO COULD OPEN THE GATE, WE WERE ULTIMATELY UNSUCCESSFUL.
TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, DUE TO THE GAY PRIDE FESTIVAL BEING LOCATED IN DTLA ON THE SAME DAY, THERE WAS ZERO STREET PARKING FOR MILES AROUND THE AREA, AND MOST PAID PARKING LOTS WERE FULL. REMAINING LOT PARKING COST AS MUCH AS $40.
ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH THE DTLA ARTS DISTRICT KNOWS THAT STREET PARKING AROUND THERE EVEN UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES IS A ROYAL PAIN IN THE YOU KNOW WHAT.... IF NOT ENTIRELY UNAVAILABLE.
WE ABSOLUTELY REFUSED TO SUBJECT OUR TREASURED AUDIENCES AND PERFORMERS TO THAT SO WE HAVE MADE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CANCEL THE PERFORMANCE AND REFUND EVERYONE'S TICKET.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ALAN AND BILL, YOU KNOW THAT WE RUN A VERY TIGHT SHIP AND HAVE VERY HIGH STANDARDS FOR OUR VENUE AND FOR OUR PATRONS.
WE DEEPLY APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY HAVE CAUSED AND HOPE YOU WILL GIVE US THE CHANCE TO MAKE THIS UP TO YOU IN THE FUTURE.

Gay D.D. is back to pay homage to that magical crevice tucked below the San Fernando/San Gabriel mountains. A night of comedy, burlesque, live music, and drag will salute that suburban wonderland that has given us all so much low-cost auto repair and pornography.
No, this event is not in The Valley. We are poking fun and celebrating it from the comfort and safety of our ancestral home, Art Share LA, in the DTLA Arts District.
Doors open at 7pm for shmoozing, boozing, hobnobbing, chinwagging and fraternizing at the Art Share lobby bar!

Gay D.D. goes to THE VALLEY will be held on the south side of the hill at the venerated and architectural Art Share LA complex. And as usual, all patrons, performers, and show staff will have access to our practically unheard of expansive free parking lot, located across Hewitt St from the complex entrance. If you are taking the metro, the Little Tokyo Goldline stop is a 6 minute walk away and the Union Station Redline is a 12 minute walk.
