Fruit Trees "101": Basic Fruit Tree Care
Learn the basics of fruit tree planting, irrigation, fertility, pest management, and winter pruning with Matthew Sutton, founder and owner of Orchard Keepers (www.orchardkeepers.com].
Online registration costs: $30 for general public, $20 for Friends of the Farm & Garden members, $5 for current UCSC students. Or pay at the door (cash or check only): $40 for general public, $30 for Friends of the Farm & Garden members, $5 for current UCSC students.
Heavy rain cancels; full refunds given if rain cancels event.
Please note that separate workshops focused on winter pruning will take place on February 1 (apples, pears, other pome fruits) and February 15 (stone fruits) at the UCSC Farm. Another Fruit Trees "101" session will be offered on January 25 at the UCSC Farm.
