The Center for Agroecology & Sustainable Food Systems works with the Friends of the UCSC Farm & Garden to offer a year-long series of gardening and orchard care workshops at Santa Cruz-area nurseries and on the UC Santa Cruz campus. At UCSC, workshops take place on the 30-acre UCSC Farm, at the Alan Chadwick Garden, and at the beautifully restored historic Cowell Ranch Hay Barn.
