Unexpecting Book Discussion Group
This 6 week facilitated discussion group will take readers through the book "Unexpecting" by Rachel Lewis. With carefully crafted discussion questions, and group guidelines, we will create a space together where we can discuss the content and begin to integrate what we are learning. This will be a time for discussion, but also one of sharing connection with others who deeply understand the journey of loss. Some of the sessions will be attended by the author with a chance for Q&A with Rachel.
The group sessions will be facilitated by Crystal Gurney, community builder, peer facilitator, and Master Trainer with GPS (Group Peer Support). Crystal is a skilled facilitator and has guided over 700 groups, many for new parents as they navigate pregnancy and the postpartum period. Crystal has her own experience with loss and is looking forward to creating a "brave space" where participants can explore the book and how it relates to their own experience.
This discussion group will meet for 6 weeks on Tuesdays beginning August 24
Our meeting time will be 4:30-6:30pm (PST) / 7:30-9:30pm (EST)
