ALL COMPETITORS AND ATTENDEES MUST KEEP ADMISSION TICKET OR PRINTOUT WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES OR ADMISSION WILL BE REFUSED.
ALL EVENTS WILL FOLLOW COVID PROTOCOLS OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, WASHOE COUNTY, AND CITY OF RENO AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT INCLUDING SOCIAL DISTANCING AND/OR MASKING. BRING MASKS AND WEAR THEM AS NECESSARY. DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU ARE HAVING SYMPTOMS OF COVID RELATED ILLNESS. YOUTH COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS A $75.00 non-refundable registration fee must be paid by each Adult Competitor via the link on this page. No further application form is required.
Youth Competition Division I is open for ages 14 to 17 as of month of competition Prizes: Youth Division I: 1st: $150.00; 2nd: $100.00; 3rd: $50.00, Certificates
Youth Division II is open for ages up to 13 as of month of competition Certificates Awarded
Competition is for performance on six string Classical Guitar
First Round, 7 minutes. Up to 15 Youth competitors will be accepted. Final Round, 7 minutes. Four competitiors will perform in Youth finals.
Choice of repertoire is at discretion of competitor. It is expected that every competitor's choice of music fits within the time allowed. If a competitor exceeds the given time allotted, he or she maty be asked to stop with no penalty to his or her evaluation. For Final round, repertoire may be repeated or new repertoire may be performed.
Competitors will be evaluated on technique, musicianship, and overall presentation.
Competitors may inquire for comments by judges only after the competition has ended. Upon such requests, sharing comments with performers is at the sole discretion of the judges.
All decisions of judges are final.

Sunday, June 27 1:00pm - Workshop with Grisha Goryachev Workshop is free for Competitors, others $10.00 at door
