About Poly: Nashville-based Poly is a trio of oft-sidemen, consisting of members Dan Sommers, Eleonore Denig, and Larissa Maestro, who began writing together in late fall of 2011. Performances of their repertoire of American Songbook-influenced material feature tightly woven three-part vocal harmonies and a wide array of acoustic instruments including (but not limited to) cello, xylophone, violin, mandocello, ukulele and a suitcase kick drum, making for a set you truly need to see to believe.
About Rebecca Roubion: Raised in the Heart of Dixie, the Mobile native is more than a pretty face with a song. Having studied public relations at Louisiana State University, Roubion has since been busily building her brand in Music City, working tirelessly to engage listeners on stage and off. In the fall of 2012, she executed a 164%-funded crowdsourcing campaign, connecting with more than 1,700 fans and resulting in the production and release of a duet of debut concept EPs, "Fields" and "Forests". A child of the bay, Roubion's distinct creole roots are a product of her time spent in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Carol King and Eva Cassidy were anything but strangers growing up, and while she borrows from these soulful matriarchs of yore, there's something fresh and enticing about her interpretation of folk-infused indie-pop.
About Thistle Stop Cafe: Run by the Magdalene graduates and residents, women who have survived prostitution, trafficking and addiction, the Thistle Stop Cafe will sell Nashville-based and fair-trade coffees, teas and healthy catered foods. As with our product line, the food will be as good for the body as it is for the earth.
The Cafe will be a gathering place for the Nashville community and guests to Thistle Farms. A stage will give the women a place to share healing stories and provide opportunities for artists to showcase their creative works.
PLEASE NOTE: Thistle Stop Cafe reserves the right to release seats if the ticket holder is not present by 7:00pm on show day.
