NICA Fall Gathering 2020: Inclusive Communities Thrive Together
Please join us for this year's virtual Fall Gathering, with the theme, "Inclusive Communities Thrive Together." The Northwest Intentional Communities Association (NICA) promotes Intentional Community as a Public Good, advocating all types of co-living and co-housing situations. In keeping with our current cultural moment, our event on October 3rd explores the importance of inclusivity, and strategies to build more diverse and therefore vital intentional communities.
Our featured speaker will be Crystal Byrd Farmer, author of the book, "The Token: Common Sense Ideas for Increasing Diversity in Your Organization." We will have facilitated discussion after the main presentation, then explore resilience and resistance, values commitments, hear community updates, and list ideas for community-friendly public policy measures. Tentative: movie on resilience and resistance for empowerment and sustainability.
