Running October 25-27, the fifth annual Knoxville Horror Film Fest features a full weekend of genre madness and ferocious fun.
FRIDAY 10/25 at RELIX VARIETY THEATRE / 7pm $10
KHHFV Opening Night kicks things off with a bang at longtime KHFF homebase Relix Variety Theatre. Join us as we present our initial burst of short films and then drink along with the residents of a seaside Irish town in the booze-drenched creature comedy GRABBERS!
SATURDAY 10/26 at REGAL DOWNTOWN WEST CINEMA 8 / 1pm $30
KHFFV's main event runs all day at Downtown West 8, beginning with three feature screenings: the heartfelt monster-in-the-butt comedy BAD MILO (1PM), Ben Wheatley's period head-trip A FIELD IN ENGLAND (3:30PM), and Bobcat Goldthwait's intimate Sasquatch thriller WILLOW CREEK (7PM)!(Each feature is paired with a program of short films. Individual admission will be available for $10 during the festival.)
Then we'll be topping off our day at the movies with the 2013 KHFF Grindhouse Grind-out (9:30PM), our timed filmmaking competition that tasks teams with making a three minute Grindhouse-style trailer from a super-specific assigned genre. (Individual admission available for $15, and includes entry to Sunday's event.)
SUNDAY 10/27 at RELIX VARIETY THEATRE / 7pm $5
KHFFV returns to Relix for our Awards Party free-for-all, kicking off with the mad science terror of FRANKENSTEIN'S ARMY and culminating in KHFFV's awards ceremony, where we name the best of the festival and the winners of the Grindhouse Grind-out! We'll also be having a costume party and more fun to announce in the leadup to the festival.
