Trevor Stephenson, Historian & Keyboardist
Arboretum Cohousing is delighted to present the first of two benefit concerts to raise funds for the restoration of their Common House piano.
The first concert will be Saturday November 9th, 7 PM, by the celebrated keyboardist and historian Trevor Stephenson. The second will be Saturday January 18th, 7 PM, by Metropolitan Opera star Kitt Reuter-Foss.
Both artists are renowned for the breadth of their repertoires, so expect a wide variety of musical styles at each concert. Sweets, savories and beverages will be provided by Arboretum Cohousing in their beautiful Common House.
Arboretum Cohousing is an intentional living community located in the heart of Madison's Greenbush neighborhood. With 40 units and 85 members, it is the largest of Madison's three cohousing communities.
Featured at each concert will be the exceptional Mason Hamlin Model AA 1930 Grand Piano that resides at Arboretum Cohousing. Built during the golden age of grand pianos, this fine instrument was recently restored by one of Madison's preeminent piano technicians, Jim Forrest.
"Arboretum Cohousing is thrilled to have the support of our corporate sponsors including St. Mary's Hospital, Farley's House of Pianos, Heid Music, Ward Brodt Music Mall, and Anchor Bank" says Lucy Moore, coordinator of the concerts. "Each of these donors has a special relationship with Arbco, the performers, or the Madison music scene. We are honored to be sharing the events with them.
