ONLINE: Stretching, Conditioning, & Warm-Up for Bondage
NOTE: This will be an online class via Zoom. Zoom registration information will be sent to all participants after ticketing.
There's been a lot of research on effective warm-up, conditioning, and stretching. Much of what we thought we knew years ago is probably wrong! This class provides an overview of the science on injury prevention and warm-up/stretching. After reviewing the general principles, well run through a warm-up, some conditioning and core exercises, and both static and dynamic stretches.
Every body is different. Understanding the research, and your goals/intentions, will help you design a routine that works for you. This is a body-positive class that can be modified for a spectrum of physical abilities, and explores these topics as an optional addition to your bondage skillset.
* Level: Beginner to intermediate
* Pre-requisites: Body and health awareness to participate safely at a level thats appropriate for your body.
* Supplies: Yoga mat if you have one, comfortable clothing to move around in if you'd like to participate in the optional hands-on portion of the class
PRESENTERS:
Davey Faye is an ever-evolving nonbinary beastie who is passionate about primalism, sacred intent, mental health advocacy, disability awareness, bottom/switch empowerment, storytelling, and healing through kink. They are an enthusiastic rope artist, sexual savant, delightful dragon, and queer-tastic community creature with an infamous dedication to the pokey and potent practice of porcupine quills. Alongside their life partner Fox, Davey runs multiple recurring educational programs including SPaRC and PACK NIGHT! and can also be found frequently performing at events such as Twisted Windows, BENT, The Upper Floor, and Om-Nom-Nom Non-binary Burlesque.
Shay Tiziano is a vivacious femme switch and renowned self-suspender known for their unique, dynamic performances and fun, attainable, and risk-awareness focused approach to bondage education. She is the author of Tying & Flying, the first-ever book about self-suspension. Based in San Francisco, Shay has over a decade of experience presenting across the US and internationally. In her home community, she produces over 20 events a year, including BENT, the Bay Areas biggest dungeon party, Self-Suspension Open Space, and acclaimed bondage and fetish performance event Twisted Windows.
