CANCELED - Sketching in the Garden
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in consideration of the recent guidance from Governor Newsom and the California Department of Public Health, our CASFS executive director has directed us to cancel all upcoming classes and events through April 30, 2020.
Thank you for your interest, we hope to reschedule this and other workshops later in the year. We will send updates through our monthly e-newsletter which you can sign up for here.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this public health challenge. In the meantime, enjoy the wildflowers and the blossoms on fruit trees, and please stay safe by following recommended health practices in the coming weeks. In this class, we'll work on cultivating our observational skills and artistic talent with inspiration from the Alan Chadwick Garden. Starting with a short presentation about a variety of approaches to field sketching and journaling, we'll take a look at several different examples of how to create a successful sketchbook page composition. After an overview of materials, techniques, and a quick demo, we'll head out into the garden to draw! The instructor will be on hand to help guide our garden artists when needed with composition, technique, or direction.
