GNV Listening Room presents: Katy Deitz and Faith & Majesty // Women's History Month Show
Here's to the first night of GNV Listening Room "March"ing into 2020!
For our very first show of 2020, we're returning to the Gainesville Fine Arts Assoc (GFAA) to celebrate Women's History Month with Gainesville's very own Katy Deitz and Faith & Majesty. The backdrop of the evening will be GFAA's March exhibit, "SHE"; a visual exploration of the many dimensions of women.
Katy Deitz. Maybe you caught her set at Heartwood Music Fest in 2019 or at Changeville just a few weeks ago. Maybe you noticed her filming Johanna Warren during our second ever show or the "Live at The Atlantic" series. Either way, if you've encountered her, you know that Katy Deitz is no stranger to Gainesville music scene. But, she's certainly been a well kept secret until a few months ago when she dropped her first EP "Temporary Cloud". Now, she's quickly blossoming into a musical mainstay. Here's your chance to say you saw her before she cemented her name in Gainesville's musical lore.
Faith & Majesty. If you haven't heard of these two sisters, you have been living under a rock. These talented siblings first visited Gainesville as guests of SoFar Sounds in January of 2019. They fell in love with the area so quickly that they moved here a few months later from West Palm. It was a match meant to be as they took to the local music scene like ducks to water. Now, hardly a week goes by that their names aren't on a poster around town. Having recently expanded to include 2 bandmates, we look forward to welcoming all of them into the GNV Listening fold.

The show will be held at 1314 S Main St, Gainesville, FL 32601. Chairs will be provided. Entry is $15 (+$1.34 processing fee). Merch may also be available, so consider bringing cash to take home memorabilia.

*Be respectful of musicians & other guests-- please do not text/tiktok/"whatever the kids are doing these days" during the performance. We have a photographer for that! Be present with the music and the community.

*Please park in the Winn Dixie parking lot next door and walk over.
