The Series has suspended ticket sales for the Ocracoke Alive Benefit Concert scheduled for May 8 pending a review in early April of the prospects for the concert going forward. Ticket holders may request a refund by emailing tickets@bryanculturalseries.org or calling 252-207-5287
Join us for a concert to benefit Ocracoke Alive. The show will feature Ocracokes best known bands The Molasses Creek Band and Coyote. Hurricane Dorian devastated Ocracoke Alive and damaged the Deepwater Theater, the primary venue for Ocracoke Alives many programs. Net proceeds from the concert will be donated to Ocracoke Alive.
For 26 years, Molasses Creek's high-energy performances and heartfelt songwriting has brought the love of their coastal home of Ocracoke Island, NC to the stage. The band's elegant harmonies and arrangements, stellar songwriting, blazing instrumentals, and quirky sense of humor have won loyal followers throughout the United States and around the world.
Coyote are Marcy Brenner and Lou Castro. They write and perform songs that draw you in to their enchanting island life and extraordinary community of 1000 friends and neighbors. Their stories spark from their salty life on Ocracoke, 20 miles off-shore of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. If life is about creating experiences, Marcy and Lou are truly alive, making music together, and with neighbors and visiting friends. They share the love of family and community that is so important to everyone in this coastal town
