________________________________________________________________ Join the clan for live Irish music by Boys of the Town and learn Céilí dancing with a professional caller in the beautiful hall of the Crescent Grange. Boys of the Town plays and sings the traditional music of Ireland, bringing you lively and soul-stirring authentic sounds. Irish Céilí dancing is the native group dancing of Ireland and is danced to traditional Irish music in various formations with couples of two, four or six, or lines of dancers. Learn some new moves and watch Broomfield do the jig.
Take a break from dancing with an Irish libation, wine, or soda and make your way over to the art show, Shades of Green, displaying artwork from local artists. Sip an Irish whiskey while you enjoy the artistic incorporation of green into painted creations and stand in awe of photos of Ireland snapped by photographer, Gerry Case.
Bring your purses and wallets for the mini-auction because you are sure to see an item or two that you cannot resist. The featured auction items are historical chairs donated by the Grange, a 4-day stay in a 4-bedroom home in Kinsale, Ireland, and a large Celtic masterpiece created by accomplished artist, Shirlee Miyake. Shirlee will place clippings from Irish newspapers into the background and incorporate the handy work of an Irish Wolfhound from the Rocky Mountain Irish Wolfhound Association. Thats right the furry friend will add some pawtastic accents to the artwork.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will help the Crescent Grange raise funds for its Ramp & Restroom campaign. The Grange has been working towards building an ADA ramp and a restroom on the main floor of this centurys old building to better serve the community.
Proceeds of this event will also assist the Broomfield Council on the Arts & Humanities (BCAH) with expanding its Science+Art Program, which presents free events like the Moonrise Viewing event at the Brunner Farmhouse. These family-friendly events encourage young minds to explore how space science and the experience of art can be combined.
Celebrate St. Patricks Day in Broomfield and support a good cause while Dublin your luck at Luck of the Irish!
