Composer and bassist David Arend will give the world premiere of his concerto Three Sheets to the Wind for bass and saxophone, joining forces with University of Washington faculty member Michael Brockman and Philharmonia Northwest. Arend, who performs regularly with the San Francisco Symphony, is an accomplished jazz performer, having shared the stage with Bobby McFerrin and other jazz greats.
