Backstage Evanston

Presented by the Arts & Business Committee of the Evanston Arts Council, the fourth annual Backstage Evanston will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Ethel M. Barber Theater, 30 Arts Circle Drive on the Northwestern University campus in Evanston. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 on the day of the show. Student tickets are $10 with a valid ID; kids 12 and under are admitted free.

Fifteen performing arts organizations will present a sneak preview of their 2013-14 season offerings. Participating organizations are Actors Gymnasium; CoCoDaCo; Evanston Dance Ensemble; Evanston Symphony Orchestra; Fleetwood-Jourdain, Next, Piccolo, and Piven theatres; Light Opera Works; Music Institute of Chicago; The Musical Offering; North Shore Choral Society; Northwestern University's Theatre & Interpretation Center; Renovo String Orchestra; and The Savoyaires.

For each non-student admission ticket, the attendee will be given a $20 voucher that can be exchanged for a special ticket offer of equal value from any participating Backstage organization. These special discounts for tickets or subscriptions will only be available at the Backstage event. Additional vouchers may be purchased at the event.

Free parking is available at the Northwestern University south lot, which is open and easily accessible despite construction in the area.
