at the Museum of Tolerance

Screening of short documentaries followed by conversations with directors Mohammad Gorjestani (Exit 12), Alexandra Lazarowich (Fast Horse), Smriti Mundhra and Sami Khan (St. Louis Superman), and Michael Premo (Water Warriors),
moderated by Academy Award®-winning Writer/Director of Simon Wiesenthal Center's Moriah Films, Richard Trank.

Exit 12  After two tours in Fallujah during the Iraq War, US Marine Roman Baca came home ravaged with depression, anxiety, and anger. He turned to his first passion, dance, and ultimately formed  Exit 12  a dance company led by Veterans and  military families who use dance to cope with the complex effects of war. (Distributor: Fox Searchlight)

Fast Horse follows the return of the Blackfoot bareback horseracing tradition in a new form: the Indian Relay. Siksika horseman Allison RedCrow struggles to build a team with second-hand horses and a new jockey, Cody Big Tobacco, to take on the best riders in the Blackfoot  Confederacy at the Calgary Stampede. (Distributor: CBC Docs)

St. Louis Superman  Bruce Franks Jr., a 34-year-old Ferguson  activist and battle rapper who was elected to the overwhelmingly white and Republican  Missouri House of Representatives, must  overcome both personal trauma and political obstacles to pass a critical bill for his community. (Distributor: MTV Documentary Films and AJE Witness)

Water Warriors  When an energy company begins searching for natural gas in New Brunswick, Canada, indigenous and white families unite to drive out the company in a campaign to protect their water and way of life. (Distributor: POV Shorts)
