John Doyle and Mick McAuley
Thank you for your interest in this concert. All seats have been reserved, and there is a waiting lists. Please email me if you wish to be on the waiting list. We deeply appreciate your support of John and Mick!
One of Charlotte's most loved Irish trad musicians, John Doyle, returns to NC for the Holidays, bringing along fellow Irishman Mick McAuley. We are indeed fortunate to offer this special concert with these world class musicians.
The traffic on I-77 is much alleviated, so come up and enjoy a festive evening. In addition to outstanding original ballads and driving tunes, there will be plenty of opportunity to socialize with other wonderful folks. Bring your favorite beverage and a "finger food" snack to share, if you would like. Only 45 seats are available. Please register in advance of the concert date. All proceeds go to the musicians.
Mick McAuley is a singer, songwriter and composer who plays traditional and original music and songs of Ireland on accordion, melodeon, whistle and guitars. Recently Mick has been playing for Sting's Broadway production "Lost Ship". John and Mick are founding members of the Irish American ensemble Solas; since those days each has become an acclaimed solo musician. Each maintains roots in traditional Irish music but also pushes the boundries driving evolution of trad music to reach more diverse audiences.
