A Ca-Palooza RVA 2019: A Contemporary A Cappella Competition
Richmond Allied Voices presents an evening of a cappella music competition between seven local/regional groups for cash prizes. This year's competitors include: Ramifications of VCU, VCU Notochords, Uncommon, Symfonics, Cleftomaniacs, The One Note Stand, and Dragon Scales.
Our featured artists, Pitches Be Crazy (PBC) were the winners of 2019 Washington Area Music Award: BEST A CAPPELLA GROUP/BAND. Pitches Be Crazy (PBC) Vocal Band is a 6 person, all vocal cover band rocking the R&B, Hip-Hop, Funk, Disco, Rock, Pop and Soul hits of the last 5 decades. PBC bring their #dopenoise to every show, and will have audiences singing and dancing from start to finish..
artspace gallery, which is an acoustically astute contemporary fine art gallery, will set the stage for our event. In addition to wonderful a cappella performances, the evening will include a cash bar, opportunities to interact with the singers, a silent auction and an opportunity to participate in a fund-the-need for a very worthy organization - Richmond Allied Voices.
