Rule Britannia: Last Night of the Proms
Hillcrest Wind Ensemble
presents
A Classical Fall Concert
Under the direction of Artistic Director John Winkleman and Associate Director Christian Tordahl, the ensemble will feature music typically performed at the Proms Summer Music Festival in London and across the United Kingdom.
Presenting primarily lighter early classical pieces to more contemporary works, the night will feature music from Handel, Elgar, Vaughan Williams, and Grainger, as well as selections from the musical My Fair Lady. A collection of British sea songs will round out the evening.
Special British themed gift baskets will be raffled off to help celebrate this festive tradition.
Doors open a 6:00pm, the concert will begin at 7pm. Concessions will be available to purchase during the interval.
Children under the age of 5 will not be admitted to the concert. Parents should use their best judgment when bringing children who are age 5 or older, based on their ability to sit quietly through a 2-hour concert, out of respect to other audience members and since we record each concert. These children must have a ticket and be able to sit in an unaccompanied seat. We do not have a ticket discount specifically for children.
