Hands Left Behind
A theatrical aerial dance production, "Hands Left behind" is based on a true story. A chief news correspondent for drug and sex crimes suddenly quits his job and spends the next six months living in the desert. His encounters with hardship, bewitching memories, strange entities and desert songs help him navigate his psyches portrayal of past violence and his relationship to the land. Mir & A Company perform this unworldly story through boundary pushing dance in the air, on walls, across floors and with fire along with a host of amazing artists including the the live music of John Zorko & Trey Donavon with singer Aimee Page plus fire dancer Marina Salonga. "Hands Left Behind" is supported in part by the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County & The Tides Foundation.
