WILLY'S 30th Birthday BBQ Bash
Help us give children with special needs a chance to play and belong.
Throughout our entire 30-year history, Armadillo Willy's BBQ has focused on benefiting the children in our community through our outreach projects. From the unique and exciting real live Armadillo races we held in 1985 in support of the San Jose Children's Shelter, to our donations to local school programs and youth sports, children hold a special place in Willy's heart.
Our 30th year is an important milestone for us and we would like to commemorate this special year with our largest fundraising effort to date. On Sunday, October 6, 2013 we will hold Willy's 30th BBQ Birthday Bash in San Jose's History Park at Kelly Park - a fun filled family focused barbecue that will showcase the best of what Willy's has to offer along with music, kids activities and, of course, birthday cake for all.
100% of the proceeds from Willy's Birthday Bash will help fund Rotary of San Jose's Centenial project, the Rotary PlayGarden, which is scheduled to open in 2014 in Guadalupe Park in San Jose.
The need is compelling and urgent The PlayGarden will give the more than 75,000 Special Needs kids in Santa Clara, and many thousands more children and adults throughout the Bay Area, an opportunity to play in a park along side their able-bodied siblings, family, and friends. No other park in the greater Bay Area offers these types of recreational and educational opportunities.
We promise to serve you a barbecue buffet that will know your socks off personally prepared and supervised by Armadillo Willy's founder, John Berwald and his amazing team of pitmasters.
Tickets are deductible in the amount allowed by law. Please, for the children, invite your whole family, friends, and co-workers.
