BackStory's Summer Bash
This full evening event has something for everyone! All proceeds benefit BackStory Theatre programming in our communinuty! Come for BackStory Youth Theatre's production of MacBeth: Off Kilter. Then stay for special performances from The Broomshticks improv comedy group and the amazing School of Rock house band. Check backstorytheatre.org for updates, including additional giving opportunities and how YOU can decide who gets a pie in the face!
You won't want to miss MacBeth: Off Kilter, the hilarious parody of one of Shakespeare's most famous plays.
Who says Shakespeare's darkest tragedy can't give you belly laughs? Scotty Macbeth is a high school senior with everything going for him, including a giant ego and a penchant for plaid. When some goth classmates the weird sisters convince him that he, not his friend Duncan Morto, should be the class president, his ambition leads him down a dark and absurd path of deception and expulsion. (No murder, of course. It's a comedy, after all!) Complete with witty word play, slapstick action and a shocking twist ending, Macbeth: Off-Kilter spins the frown of tragedy upside down! Presented by advanced and intermediate youth actors from BackStory Theatre. Appropriate for all ages.
Buy advance tickets now for the best rates and seat selection! Back by popular demand, choose your exact seats when you purchase online before July 15! Limited tickets (Adults $20, Seniors/Children $15) may be available following that date and at the door 30 minutes prior to show time. Please be aware that, although visibility is good for all seats in this small venue, seat alignment in the selection grid is representative but not exact. Do note that seats marked as WHEELCHAIR SPACES offer a space for wheelchair access only (NO AUDITORIUM SEAT) and can only be used by patrons sitting in a wheelchair. As possible, please help us by saving Wheelchair Companion Seats for patrons attending with a patron in a wheelchair.
