We're back with another 90-minute fast-paced variety show featuring festival talent and loads of Canadas favourite personalities like Colin Mochrie & Deb McGrath (Whose Line, Little Mosque), Jess Salomon & Eman El-Husseini (The Tonight Show, CBC) Carolyn Taylor (Baroness Von Sketch), Ali Hassan (CBC Radio), Jonathan Wilson (Dora Award
Winner, Kilt, My Own Private Oshawa), Karen Williams (Were Funny That Way Doc), velvet-voiced Shannon Butcher, award-winning comic Brandon Ash-Mohammed, and more.
The gala is hosted by the ever calm, cool, and collected, Maggie Cassella.
Oh and there's fun food too. Fun fare that's delicious cuz rubber chickens are reserved for the stage.
This year the Foundation is thrilled to be supporting the Shining Mountains Two Spirit Renewal Project in Red Deer, Alberta. Shining Mountains is an aboriginal centre that has been extending services to the LGBTQS2 community for over 20 years. They provide services that address homelessness, suicide prevention, domestic violence, addiction, healthy lifestyles, self-sufficiency, advocacy, HIV/AIDS and/or HCV. Shining Mountains arms are open to all in their region to individuals and to families in their city and surrounding rural areas.
