Local Hero & The Ecstatics Live at Clif 7/19/13
We have new originals to debut, new T-Shirts to show off, and it's going to be a night of general debauchery, merriment & rock'n'roll. As always, it's all ages and $5 adv. / $10 door.
A very, very sexy show planned 4 u.
Our last Bay Area show before our August West Coast tour, and our only headlining show of the summer! Also come to see Maya stagedive off the rafters in an impressive display of agility, showmanship and coordination.
We always look forward to shows at Clif, and we take them as an opportunity to put on a banga of a show at an East Bay all ages venue for $5. New friends, old friends, everyone is welcome!
This time around, we're joined by Portland indie dance-pop band The Ecstatics. They're coming down specially for us, and they're gonna rock the haus.
We're also doing a smashing 2-for-1 promotion - if you buy a ticket to our show at Great American with Finish Ticket in August, bring proof of purchase to Clif and get in free!

"Local Hero is Berkeley's next big band" Huffington Post
"The Ecstatics new single has us dancing around the room!" NYLON
Berkeley band Local Hero has begun to make a name for themselves with their bright, catchy brand of indie rock'n'roll. Often compared to Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes, the young band has earned recognition in Northern California and beyond since the release of their debut EP two years ago, and they are embarking on their first West Coast tour later this summer. Their sound is modern and infectious, and prompted The Huffington Post to describe the band as "what you'd get if The Kinks and Vampire Weekend had a Bay Area Baby."
After a year of university-induced separation following the release of their first full-length record last September, Local Hero is bringing their exhilarating live show back to the Bay Area, debuting new material and a new lineup in the process. http://localheroband.com

The Ecstatics are an Indie Dance/Pop group from Portland, OR USA - The Portland Mercury calls their single Float. "a really catchy, likable song" - The Owl Mag raves, "Imagine a Phoenix-esque single with a lot more guts then glory startlingly fresh" - The Burning Ear acclaims Float is "overflowing with their raw joy.."
Performing with the likes of Gold Fields, Ramona Falls, And And And, Hey Ocean and more, their live show has been described as "high-energy, elated, boisterous the type of power pop that I've been missing in my life for a long time." BridgeTown Sound states, "though I hadn't heard of them before, I haven't enjoyed myself at a concert that much in quite a while." http://facebook.com/TheEcstaticsband
