Heavy weight West Coast Bass Music Producer:

E P R O M - //Warp/Frite Nite/Rwina\\

EPROM is one of the vibrant West-Coast scene's most colorful characters and an important cog in the international Rwina machine. He's a consummate post-millennial producer, and his sound varies from toxic hip-hop to searing garage mutations to bizarre concoctions somewhere in between. His beats jiggle and drip and contort wildly, always in some perpetual state of melting, churning, and mutation. He's had releases on Warp, Surefire, and Bristol-based Bad Acid, but it's his Rwina releases that have been the most visible and enduring, whether it's the timestretch torture and fierce melodic geysers of "Humanoid" or deconstructionist mayhem of his "Pipe Dream" EP, where dubstep and grime collide for a staggering beast that shakes off heavy blotches of radioactive fluorescent sludge with every beat that lands. His live sets are something to behold as well, emphasizing the hip-hop roots that lurk underneath his sewer beats, and an hour of EPROM is bound to turn your brain into to the same sort of goo that gums the gears of his distinctive beats.

Fans and supporters of EPROM include Flying Lotus, ?uestlove, DJ Shadow, Rustie, The Gaslamp Killer, The Glitch Mob and BBC Radio One's Mary Anne Hobbs, and the producer has shared the stage with many of the international electronic music community's hottest artists. With his new album, Metahuman, garnering critical acclaim from all corners, EPROM is finally getting the recognition he has earned as an integral part of the giant bouncing backbone of West Coast Sound.

Lank
//Ultragore Recordings/Multikill Recordings\\

Carlos Zentella, better known as Lank, has been a driving force in the breaks and bass music scenes across the Southwest corner of the US for over a decade. This San Diego native came on the scene in 1997 with a blistering attack of electro breakbeats, drum & bass, and eventually dubstep. Most recently landing in New Mexico, he, among others, has become the driving force behind broken beat music in the area, bringing national and international breaks and dubstep headliners to the hungry denizens of the desert Southwest for 10 years now.

In that time, working both as a promoter and artist, Lank's built a reputable following in the southwest of America with unparalleled dance floor control, impeccable taste, and an ear for the underground, having shared the stage with such notable artists as Bad Company, Noisia, Dieselboy, Excision, 12th Planet, and Emalkay, among a slew of others. As a producer, Lank's tunes have seen support from some of the biggest bass music artists in the world, including Liquid Stranger, Sluggo, Qel-Droma, and Grime Syndicate and have climbed in the top 20 on the Beatport's dubstep charts.

Most recently, Lank along with Sluggo, started the digital imprintUltragore Recordings. Working to bring the heaviest dubstep artists out there to the international stage, the label's released tunes from a slew of underground artists as well as some of the biggest names in dubstep including Borgore, Bare, Liquid Stranger, Sluggo, and MC Messinian. Fans across the US and world wide are snatching up each release and the label's been tearing up the dubstep charts, garnering the Best New Label award from Symphonic Distribution. Be on the lookout for releases from Lank and Ultragore Recordings as this bass junkie continues to drop bombs in 2012 and beyond.
