Aurora Winterborn's Candid Cabaret: Sideshow & Circus Special, 2013
Having just been newly fitted with circus apparatus, Candid Cabaret will feature its first-ever aerial hoop act! We also have three artists we've NEVER seen before at Candid Cabaret, including our fabulous headline act, the sideshow goddess Rachel Renegade! Oh, and I'll be debuting a new act too.

HEADLINE ACT: RACHEL RENEGADE
This glamazonian pain-proof princess will be gracing the Candid stage for the first time ever!
Rachel is an international sideshow performer at Pretty Things Productions and will shock, excite and amaze you with her sideshow antics!
RENEGADE (definition)
Noun 1. renegade - someone who rebels and becomes an outlaw

DR. POLE
It is with great pleasure that I announce yet another first-timer to the Candid stages. Dr. Pole is a professional pole and aerial dancer with a string of awards to her name. She is also head of the Pole Dancing Society at The University of Glasgow, where she recently completed her studies in medicine. Drawing inspiration from her circus training, expect some of the most thrilling, death-defying, jaw-dropping pole dance moves you've ever seen!

MARYLYNN BALLARD
Another fabulous circus act is in our midst: Marylynn will be christening our newly-installed circus apparatus and perform for you a very dreamy aerial hoop act. We are truly excited to be host to a fabulous art form not often witnessed in smaller cabaret clubs. An up-close view of this act, right above your head!

CANDY POISON
And just when you thought we couldn't spoil you anymore, we're pleased to announce yet another first-time act to Candid Cabaret, the delectable Candy Poison! No cabaret event would be complete without a cheeky bit of burlesque. But Candy is no ordinary burlesque performer, no. Candy Poison fuses elements of traditional burlesque with performance art, creating acts with a dark and deliciously twisted appeal. At the same time, she always likes to surprise her audiences with acts that are pure comic entertainment.
With Candy, you should always expect the unexpected!

Jellybean Martinez has been serenading his beautiful audiences for quite some time now. The rejected Spanish pop star tries his hardest to prove that he's got what it is to rock the pop charts of the UK.

AURORA WINTERBORN
Often choosing to stay in the shadows during Candid Cabaret, Aurora Winterborn will make a rare appearance by debuting her new act. Inspired by traditional Japanese kabuki theatre, Winterborn tells a tale of tragic love.
The word kabuki is believed to derive from the verb kabuku, meaning "to be out of the ordinary" expect just that!

Back by popular demand, the loveable - and sometimes foul-mouthed, Little Miss Muff-It will be your host for this latest edition of Candid Cabaret.

Doors open at 7pm, show begins 7.30pm
