John Stano CD Release Celebration Concert
Join singer-songwriter John Stano for an evening of original acoustic music as we celebrate the release of his studio album "Digging Out in the Heartland," plus a live record "John Stano Live at the South Shore Farmers Market."
JOHN STANO is an award-winning singer-songwriter, poet, educator and multi-instrumentalist whose original songs include themes of social and environmental justice, spiritual matters, and life's big questions. Johns trademark sound is a distinctive blend of acoustic and slide guitar, harmonica, and expressive vocals rooted in blues and roots music history and performance styles. A skillful use of language adds an original spark to his lyrics. Sing Out! compared Johns music to early Bob Dylan, while Dirty Linen was reminded of Country Joe McDonald. Johns original music has been featured on Wisconsin Public Television, Wisconsin Public Radios "Simply Folk," and NPR's "Car Talk" and "Whaddya Know?" programs.
CDs will be available at this event. While there is no charge to attend, an RSVP is preferred.
Join us for an evening of original music to NURTURE the spirit, ENGAGE the mind, and INSPIRE action!
