Strong. For Life Luncheon
On April 2, 2019, Familylinks will host the 2nd Annual Strong. For Life Luncheon at the Lexus Club in PPG Paints Arena to address the current opioid crisis and deliver a message of prevention, recovery and hope. Our partner for this occasion is former Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup Winner, Kevin Stevens.
Kevins message of prevention and the consequences of addiction, along with the expertise of the Familylinks staff, will be presented to our luncheon guests.
This year we are pleased to announce Dr. Lonise Bias will also be a part of this year's panel. Dr. Bias' journey as a public speaker began after the death of her oldest son, Len Bias, a University of Maryland basketball player, died of a cocaine intoxication, only two days after being drafted #1 by the Boston Celtics.
Kevin, Dr. Bias and addiction specialists from Familylinks will be available to answer questions following the presentation.
Net proceeds from the Strong. For Life Luncheon support Familylinks' community outreach and education programs aimed at preventing opioid addiction.
For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Diane Balcom at dbalcom@familylinks.org or 412-942-0495.
