In this selection of shorts focused on women, we see both the inner and outer worlds that women deal with on a daily basis.
Shabbos Kallah -- A friend can't keep her mouth shut during this social gathering and complications ensue. Next Stop -- A woman who is the voice behind the recorded bus stop announcements briefly gets her chance at local stardom. Out of Reach -- Hagar works at a photo store where she converts old video tapes to new digital files. Death Metal Grandma -- A 96-year-old poet, songwriter and Holocaust survivor starts singing death metal late in life. Summer -- A coming of age story set in a Hasidic girls sleep-away camp. The Love Letter -- A rookie commander in the Israeli army finds an unexpected love letter. Vivid Ruthie -- 18-year-old Ruthie is an old soul temporarily taking care of her grandmother, who is young at heart.
This program will also be shown at Bates College, Lewiston on Sunday, March 10 at 3:00 PM
Tickets at the door will be $12 and $10 and will be sold the day of the event one half hour before the film start time subject to availability.
