The Hornucopia Festival presents Lord Loves A Working Man, The Soul Captive + The Amulettes
The rafters will be shaking and your soul will quakin after this triple threat rhythm and soul explosion has it's way with you.  Come to dance, come to swoon, come to get down.

Lord Loves A Working Man:
Lord Loves A Working Man is a 9 piece band inspired by the raw and emotive sound of the Southern Soul shouters and horn driven Rhythm and Blues of the 1960's.

"Our steamy but sweet fantasies of soulful early-1960s amour now have a soundtrack: Lord Loves a Working Man... These men pour their hearts out in songs that make audience members alternately work up a sweat and hold each other very, very close."

The Soul Captives:
Drawing upon diverse experiences in 1960's era Jamaican music, funk, soul, and jazz, The Soul Captives fuse together a unique musical style that they simply refer to as "the captivating sound". Varying from blazing horn-driven Skatalites style instrumentals to smoking vocal tunes with full harmonies reminiscent of Bob Marley and the Wailers, they have yet to play for a crowd that could stay in their seats.

The Amulettes
Formed from members of Her Grace The Duchess, The Amulettes take a vintage sound and put it into 5th gear with powerful lead female vocals driven by solid soul rythms and brashy horns.

The Hornucopia Festival is a new festival featuring the best horn and brass driven bands in the Bay Area and beyond for two weeks of mind blowing, soul shaking shows, workshops and presentations. Taking place September 4th 14th at 9 different Bay Area venues, The Hornucopia Festival is a celebration of the historic and contemporary power of horn and brass music to bring people together while exuberantly bridging genres, languages, borders and cultures. With educational workshops, a DIY parade, and over 30 eclectic bands, The Hornucopia Festival will present as diverse as Gypsy Brass to Afrobeat, Marching Bands to Cartoon Bands, Punk Rock Polka to New Orleans 2nd line, delighting hot and cool Jazz cats, klezmorim, soul stirrers and salseros alike in one brassy, horny celebration.

The Hornucopia Festival is also a non-profit effort to benefit community organizations through a free music workshop, an educational presentation on the provocative history of brass and horn music, and as a fundraiser for two worthy causes: delivering new instruments into the hands of beleaguered youth second line bands in New Orleans and raising money for a humanitarian circus that presents free shows and workshops to refugee children in Kosovo. A portion of your ticket will go to support these causes. Thanks!
