Utah Gateway Community Forum
DATE: Thursday November 7th, 2013 from 8 am - 5 pm. LOCATION: Sundance Resort, Sundance, Utah COST: $55 per person
Utah's National Parks and Monuments - and the visitors they attract - impact the economies, businesses and people of neighboring communities. Communities near these public land recreation destinations provide facilities and services to both visitors and locals.
Successful collaboration, communication and partnerships among gateway communities and public land managers can help protect quality of life for community residents while preserving the natural and cultural treasures in our national parks and monuments.
The focus of this event will be for public land managers, business owners, public land partners, elected officials and tourism and economic development experts, in both existing and future gateway communities, to come together to discuss best practices on pertinent topics such as: - enhancing visitor experiences - nurturing local economies - facilitating community involvement - addressing seasonal challenges - encouraging public private partnerships - protecting natural and recreational park resources - and many others
Please join us for this engaging and groundbreaking discussion. Registration is currently open and closes November 1, 2013.
