Utah's National Parks and Monuments - and the visitors they attract - impact the economies, the businesses and the people of neighboring communities.
Communities near these public land recreation destinations provide gateway facilities and services to both visitors and locals. Successful collaboration, communication and partnerships among gateway communities and public land managers can help protect quality of life for community residents while preserving the natural and cultural treasures in our national parks and monuments.
The focus of this event will be for land managers, business owners, elected officials and tourism and economic development experts in both existing and future gateway communities to come together to discuss best practices on pertinent topics such as:
- enhancing visitor experiences
- nurturing local economies
- how to facilitate community involvement
- how to address seasonal challenges
- ways to encourage public private partnerships
- planning for the long term
- and many more.
Please join us for this engaging and groundbreaking discussion. Registration begins August 5th, 2013.
