Fernando Ortega Benefit Concert
Join us in worship with 3-time Dove Award winning artist Fernando Ortega as we celebrate the work of four Whatcom County nonprofits. All proceeds of the event, including tickets sales, will be benefit Engedi Refuge Ministries, Skookum Kids, New Way Ministries, and the Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic.
VIP tickets includes reserved seating in the center VIP section and a Meet & Greet with Ortega following the concert.
A free-will offering will also be received during the concert that will be equally divided between these four organizations.
About the organizations:
Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic: A nonprofit clinic that provides support and education to women, men, and families facing pregnancy. The Clinic offers pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes, STI testing, as well as after-abortion care for men and women. All services are confidential and offered at no cost.
New Way Ministries: A transitional living program for homeless women and children and for women in a crisis pregnancy. Its program is designed to assist families in finding a stable and permanent living environment, dependable income, and encourage loving, safe parent/child relationships. It provides 24-hour support staff, case management, life skills classes, pregnancy and postpartum support, as well as options for housing, education, employment, and follow-up support.
Skookum Kids: A foster care nonprofit that works to repair the foster care system by eliminating the pain points that make life unnecessarily difficult for foster parents and social workers. It does so by involving more people in the care of our most vulnerable children as foster parents, volunteers, advocates, & donors.
Engedi Refuge Ministries: A faith-based restorative program for women who have survived sexual exploitation. It is dedicated to empowering women to take the steps necessary to live their dreams with dignity and hope through safe housing, case management, life skills training, and trauma-focused therapy.
